Top 10 Sales in Phoenix Metro for May 2017
This year the month of May saw an unusually large number of sales over $3 million (20), continuing the upward trend we typically see every spring, but this trend appears it could continue an extra month or so because there are now (as of the date I am writing this) 22 listings over $3m that are now under contract (Pending/UCB/CCBS). Of course, UCB & CCBS can take a prolonged period to Close Escrow (since the sale is waiting on a buyer's contingency to be fulfilled), but the higher than normal volume of sales $3m and over is a nice reflection of the luxury real estate market making gains this year. However, that enthusiasm still must take into account the large inventory of homes at these price levels.
